CARBONDALE, Ill. — A group of students at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will strut their stuff this weekend at the "Spring Into Fashion/March of Dimes Fashion Show."

The event, which is sponsored by the Vanity Fashion Fair Models student organization and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, will start at 7:06 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, in Ballroom B of the Student Center with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Students and the public are welcome to attend. Admittance is $7 or $5 with a canned good and patrons can pay at the door. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes Foundation.

Instead of promoting a designer's line of clothing, the evening is all about showcasing student creativity. Models will mostly wear their own clothes that they have modified to express different themes that will appear throughout the night.
