CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host the 61st annual Theta Xi variety show on Saturday, April 12, starting at 6:30 p.m. in Shryock Auditorium.

Tickets are $12 for general admission and $15 for reserved seating. Tickets are available at the Shryock Auditorium box office, the Student Center, the SIU Arena and at ticketmaster.com/shryock. To order tickets by phone, call 618/453-3001 Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m.

The variety show started in 1947 and has since become a tradition that showcases student talent. Entirely student-produced and run, it aims to encourage unity among students and provide an evening of fun and entertainment.

This year features seven acts made up of both Greek and non-Greek student groups. They range from mini-musicals to dance numbers and much more.

Proceeds from the event help fund the Service to Southern Award and the Kaplan Scholarship. The two winners of these prestigious awards will be honored at the show as well.

The Inter-Greek Council sponsors the variety show.
