Secretary of State's mobile unit coming to SIUC

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois University Carbondale students, faculty and staff again have an on-campus chance to utilize the numerous services offered by Secretary of State Jesse White's office.

White's office will offer certain driver and vehicle services on Thursday, March 20. Driver's license, state identification renewal, license plate sticker purchases, organ and tissue donor registration, and other services will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Student Center Ballroom A.

Secretary of State employees will renew, replace or correct driver's licenses and identification cards. Motorists will also be able to purchase vehicle renewal stickers for license plates, including SIUC specialty plates, passenger car, and B-truck plates, and also handle vehicle title registrations and provide parking placards to persons with disabilities.

Payment by personal checks or cash is acceptable. The mobile unit can't handle processing credit or debit cards. New or duplicate driver's licenses and identification cards require presenting proper identification. The Secretary of State mobile unit will again offer the same services on the SIUC campus on April 17.
