SIUC offers Microsoft Office classes

by Hillary Popejoy

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Keeping up with the latest technology, computer software and operating systems can be at best a hassle and at worst, quite confusing. Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Division of Continuing Education is offering just the thing to simplify the transition to Microsoft Office 2007.

Two sections of "Transition to Office 2007" are on the slate. The first is Feb. 20 and 27 while the second will be April 2 and 9. Classes are 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in room 112C in the College of Applied Sciences and Arts building at SIUC. The cost is $50 per person for each two-day class section.

Participants will learn to utilize Office 2007 with a review of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Participants will no longer waste time searching for the mail merge button or trying to figure out just what's where and how to use it.

For more information, or to register for either class option, contact the SIUC Division of Continuing Education at 618/536-7751 or visit the Web site at www.dce.siu.edu.
