Recreation center will be open for part of break
CARBONDALE, Ill. — For the first time, the Student Recreation Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will be open during a portion of the break between fall and spring semesters.
The facility will be open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily Dec. 27-29 with somewhat limited services. The pool and information desk won't be available and there will be no classes those days. But, visitors can otherwise utilize the various amenities and equipment at the center and members may bring guests as usual.
The 2007 break is serving as a test to gauge interest in future openings during University breaks. For more information, contact the Student Recreation Center at 618/536-5531.
