Association to host tailgate prior to playoff game
CARBONDALE, Ill. — The SIU Alumni Association will celebrate the Salukis' No. 4 seed in the NCAA Football Subdivision Championship with a pre-game tailgate gathering before the first game of the playoffs on Saturday, Nov. 24, against Eastern Illinois University.
The tailgate begins at 10:30 a.m. and the game begins at 1:30 p.m. The alumni association tent is in Saluki Row, north of the SIU Arena. Attendees enjoy complimentary food and beverages. Event sponsors are Venigoni Distributing, Pepsi MidAmerica and 17th Street Bar and Grill. Hosts throughout the season include Herrin Security Bank, Regions Bank, River Radio, The Southern Illinoisan newspaper and Tres Hombres Mexican Restaurant.
Alumni association members should bring their membership cards to this tailgate. All guests who are non-members may attend only one home, pre-game tailgate. However, children 17 years old and younger may attend all pre-game tailgates when accompanied by an adult member.
