Student Center on limited schedule next week
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Construction work and the Thanksgiving holiday will lead to some schedule changes this month for the Student Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The Student Center won't open to the public until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, and Wednesday, Nov. 21. On those days, the hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. due to planned infrastructure improvement construction work.
In addition, crews will be replacing a water main so the circle driveway in front of the Student Center will be unusable Monday, Nov. 19, through Wednesday, Nov. 21. The Student Center will be open regular hours, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, despite the closed drive.
Hours at the Student Center restaurants vary during Thanksgiving break also. The Market Place won't be open that week. Old Main Restaurant will serve soup, salads and sandwiches from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Nov. 19-21. Subway hours are the same those days.
