Media Advisory – News Conference Time Change
The news conference scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11, following the special meeting of the Southern Illinois University Board of Trustees, is now projected to begin at approximately 1 p.m. However, the start of the news conference is dependent on when the Board of Trustees concludes its meeting.
The board meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. in Student Center Ballroom A.
The subject of the news conference will be the report of the Faculty Review Committee appointed by SIU Carbondale Chancellor Fernando M. Treviño. The chair of the committee, Professor Ramanarayanan Viswanathan, the chair of the Board of Trustees, Roger Tedrick, SIU President Glenn Poshard and other University officials will participate in the news conference. The full report of the review committee will be available at the news conference as well as on our Web site, www.news.siuc.edu, at 1 p.m. Thursday.
