Media Advisory — Radio-Television events
Award-winning filmmaker Hilla Medalia and CNN senior European correspondent Jim Bittermann are among the Southern Illinois University Carbondale alums available for interviews as the University's Department of Radio-Television celebrates its 50th anniversary this week.
Medalia's documentary, "To Die in Jerusalem," begins airing on HBO on Nov. 1. The film is being shown in a special screening at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, in the Hiram H. Lesar Law Building auditorium. Medalia will be available after the screening ends about 3 p.m. Shooting of video or photos of the film is prohibited during the screening.
In addition, Bitterman and other distinguished Radio-Television alumni are available for interviews at 4:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, in the Mass Communication and Media Arts' Studio A.
