Association to host tailgate at Northern Illinois
CARBONDALE, Ill. — The SIU Alumni Association will host a pre-game tailgate party on Sept. 8 at the first away football game of the 2007 season.
All alumni may attend the tailgate party before the SIUC-Northern Illinois football game in DeKalb. The festivities begin at 3:15 p.m. west of the Huskie Stadium. The game starts at 6:30 p.m.
The cost to attend the tailgate and game is $35 for alumni association members and $45 for non-members. The tailgate meal includes pork chops, boneless chicken breast, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, soda or water. Tailgate-only tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Beverage specials are available – inquire when making reservations.
Reservations can be made online at www.siualumni.com under the "Upcoming Events" link, or by calling 618/453-2408 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, Sept. 5. Call 312/559-1212 for game-only tickets.
SIU Alumni Association membership is open to alumni, students and friends of the University. Annual alumni individual membership is $40. Individual life alumni membership is $500, and installment plans are available. Current students can join the SIU Alumni Association for a special rate of $15.
