Bowling and Billiards hosts grand opening April 13
CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois University Carbondale Student Center Bowling and Billiards will host a big "roll-out" grand opening party from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 13. Bowling fans can join Saluki mascot Brown Dog to experience the newly renovated facility.
Following the four-month, $600,000 renovation, Bowling and Billiards now features electronic scoring, new lanes, glow-in-the-dark flooring, flat-screen televisions, drop-down screens, new counters and all new furniture. Three new, innovative IKAN Bowling Ramps attach to any wheelchair model, allowing the occupant to control the speed, direction and timing of a bowling ball release. The installation of 12 new Olhausen pool tables as well as new lighting and an updated sound system bring a new look to the billiards area of the center.
Student Center Bowling and Billiards is a smoke- and alcohol-free facility. The center offers birthday party packages and complete facility rental for schools, churches, the SIUC community and the entire region. For more information, call 618/453-2803.
