Reporters, photographers and camera crews are welcome to cover the annual Science in the South teaching seminar at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Friday, March 9. About 220 K-12 teachers will attend this year's event, set for 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the SIUC Student Center. Teachers will learn new hands-on techniques for teaching science in their classrooms. SIUC and the Illinois Science Teachers Association co-sponsor the event.
