Workshop for social work leaders is March 5

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Social work leaders are faced with the many challenges, including how to motivate and mobilize their constituents to accomplish work at agencies and organizations and turn their visions into clear-cut realities and service.

A workshop at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will examine the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, as discussed by James M. Kousez and Barry Posner in their book, "A Leader's Legacy."

The workshop, titled "Leadership is Everyone's Business," is set for 8:30-11:30 a.m. Monday, March 5, at the SIUC Student Center. Joel Rubin, adjunct professor at the Jane Addams College of Social work at the University of Illinois Chicago, is the scheduled speaker
