Students, alumni can order class rings this week
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Alumni and students of Southern Illinois University Carbondale are invited to order the Official SIU Class Ring in commemoration of their collegiate experience.
The University Bookstore in the Student Center is accepting orders for the Official SIU Class Ring Tuesday-Thursday, Feb. 20-22. An official Balfour Ring representative will take orders from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The University's class ring is the common bond of past, present and future graduates. The design will not change, ensuring the tradition continues. Rings are currently on display in the SIU Alumni Association offices on the second floor of the Student Center and in Colyer Hall.
SIU's Official Class Ring was designed exclusively by alumni and students of the University. Alumni and students who have achieved at least junior status by accumulating a minimum of 56 credit hours are eligible to order the ring.
The ring recipients and their families are invited to a ceremony hosted by the University and the SIU Alumni Association. The Official SIU Class Ring Ceremony takes place on April 13 in the Student Center Auditorium.
