Media Advisory – Christine Todd Whitman

Reporters, photographers and camera crews may meet with former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman during her visit to the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The news conference will start 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the Institute lobby.

Whitman, former Illinois Gov. Jim Edgar and former Nebraska governor and current U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson will participate in a panel discussion on the "Future of Moderates in State and National Politics" at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Student Center Ballroom D. Nelson will appear via satellite. Sponsored by the Institute, the event is free and open to the public.
