SIUC to offer ballroom dance classes
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering two series of exciting ballroom dance classes. These classes provide a quick introduction to a variety of basic steps in the six most common ballroom dances, with instruction in lead-follow and good dance technique. Series I will include the foxtrot, waltz and tango. Series II will provide instructions on the rumba, cha cha and swing.
All classes will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Davies Gym on the SIUC campus. Series I will meet weekly on Wednesdays, Aug. 30 –Oct. 2; Series II meets weekly on Wednesdays, Oct. 11-Nov. 15. The fee is $30 per participant.
