Media Advisory – Camp CEO Challenge
Reporters and photographers are welcome to watch aspiring young business leaders compete against each other during Southern Illinois University Carbondale's "Camp CEO Entrepreneurship Challenge."
"Camp CEO" is a summer program for high school students interested in becoming their own bosses. Participants learn to create business plans, negotiate, problem-solve and develop other business skills. On Wednesday, July 12, from 4 to 6 p.m., two teams of aspiring entrepreneurs will face off in Carbondale's town square to sell craft items that they made during the camp. Students from across Illinois make up the two teams.
The Southern Illinois Entrepreneurship Center, housed in SIUC's Dunn-Richmond Economic Development Center, hosts "Camp CEO," which is in its third year. For more information, contact Emily J. Carter, director of the entrepreneurship center, at 618/ 521-4425.
