Denver-area alumni chapter plans Aug. 13 event
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Alumni and friends of Southern Illinois University Carbondale living in the Denver area are invited to watch the Colorado Rockies-Chicago Cubs baseball game on Aug. 13. Guests can enjoy a pre-game ballpark buffet in the Platte River Rendezvous Picnic Area beginning at 11:30 a.m. Game time is 1:05 p.m., at Coors Field.
Cost to attend the buffet and game is $50 per person for SIU Alumni Association members. Non-members pay $55 per person. The buffet menu includes beef hot dogs with beer steamed sauerkraut, bratwurst with sautéed onions, garden salad, kettle-style potato chips, assorted cookies and soft drinks in addition to a cash bar.
Game tickets are located in the Midfield Box section.
