PGA professional to lead upcoming clinics

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Have you been thinking about taking up the game of golf? Now is your chance! Come and learn about putting, chipping, irons and woods from a PGA professional.

An upcoming clinic, taught by golf pro Terry Schwab, offers two beginner sessions and one advanced session at the Stone Creek Golf Course in Makanda. The opportunity for nine holes of instructional play will be available at the end of each session.

The sessions are set for April 18, 20, 25 and 27. Session I is set for 1 to 2 p.m. and Session II is set for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. those days. Session III is set for 4 to 5 p.m. May 2-3. Session III is the advanced session for golfers with some playing experience. Advanced golfers are required to provide their own clubs.

The fee for Session I and Session II is $65 per participant per session. The fee for Session III is $50. Each class is limited to 12 participants. Customized group lessons are also available by calling 618/536-7751. All participants must be 18 years of age or older.
