High school seniors can apply for scholarships
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- High school seniors can apply now for scholarship opportunities funded by chapters of the Southern Illinois University Alumni Association.
SIUC alumni chapters in Jackson, Perry, Randolph, Saline, Union, and Williamson counties of Southern Illinois, in addition to Peoria Tri-County, award the scholarships on an annual basis.
Last year, 27 students received scholarships valued at $28,300. The scholarships are funded by annual contributions by alumni and friends in each county, and are awarded to high school seniors who plan to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Applications are available online at siualumni.com. The application deadline is March 17. For more information, call the SIU Alumni Association at 618/453-2408.
