Media Advisory – Spirit of the Season
Reporters and photographers are welcome to cover a special gathering from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30, as Southern Illinois University Carbondale employees share the holidays with children from the Illinois Masonic Children's Home in Murphysboro.
Instead of having a Christmas party among themselves, 15 employees from the University's payroll department are treating 19 children, ages 4 to 17, to fun and games at the SIUC Student Center Bowling and Billiards. Photos and interviews with the children are permitted, but they may not be identified by name. The children's home contacts at the event are cottage manager Rebecca Henry or house parent Michelle Atwood.
