Media Advisory – Janice Jacobs

A media availability for Janice L. Jacobs, head of visa services for the U.S. State Department, is set for 1:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 7, in the lobby of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Jacobs is deputy assistant secretary of state for visa services with the State Department. She is presenting a lecture on border security vs. international enrollment – “Balancing Border Security and International Education Exchanges,” – at 7 p.m. Monday in the Student Center Auditorium.

Jacobs graduated from SIUC in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in French and English.
