Watch SIUC football, basketball games on the web

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Saluki fans can follow the exploits of the 2005 Southern Illinois University Carbondale football and men's basketball teams with Saluki Vision.

SIUC's Media & Communication Resources, in conjunction with Saluki Athletics and Mississippi River Radio, is offering Webcasts of the Salukis' five home football games from McAndrew Stadium and at least 13 home basketball games on a subscription basis. The Web casts include play-by-play by the long-time voice of the Salukis, Mike Reis.

Webcasts of Saluki football start this Saturday, Sept. 10, as SIUC hosts Union (Ky.). Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. The other home football games are homecoming against Missouri State Oct. 1, with a 1:30 p.m. kickoff; Oct. 15, against Illinois State, 6 p.m. kickoff; Nov. 5, Youngstown State, 3 p.m. kickoff; and North Dakota State, Nov. 19, 3 p.m. kickoff.

Basketball Webcasts will tip off with the home opener on Nov. 6.

A season pass for all football and basketball Webcasts costs $89.99. Cost for the football games only is $29.95; for basketball only, the cost is $69.95. Fans can watch individual games for $9.95.

Fans should go to http://www.siuc.edu/, click on the Saluki Vision link and follow instructions to register for the webcasts. The Saluki Vision site lists the computer requirements necessary to receive the webcasts, including high-speed access via either a cable modem or DSL service.

Home games are subject to blackout in Southern Illinois, and details are available on the Saluki Vision page.
