Michigan chapter hosting Sept. 17 tailgate
CARBONDALE, Ill. — The Greater Michigan Alumni Chapter of the SIU Alumni Association and Chicago Steering Committee are inviting all alumni members, students, and guests to a pre-game tailgate on Saturday, Sept. 17, prior to the SIU-Western Michigan football game in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Dinner will be available 3:30–5:30 p.m. on Lot 12 near Oliver Street, east of Waldo Stadium. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, brats, chips, cookies and beverages. Game time is 6 p.m. (CST).
The tailgate dinner reservation deadline is Friday, Sept. 9.
Cost to attend the tailgate and game is $25 per person for Association members; $30 for non-members. Tailgate-only tickets are $15 per person for members; $20 for non-members. Game tickets can be picked up at the pre-game tailgate. Tickets that are not picked up by the conclusion of the tailgate will be available at the will-call window.
SIU Alumni membership is open to alumni, students, and friends of the University. Annual alumni individual membership is $40. Individual life alumni membership is $500 and installment plans are available. Current students can join the Alumni Association for a special annual rate of $15.
