Honors recital features young musicians
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Accomplished young musicians in the Egyptian Suzuki School will perform a first-ever honors recital at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 19, at the Old Baptist Foundation at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Admission is free.
In all, 13 soloists in violin, piano, guitar and cello will perform as will a 12-member student string ensemble.
A second recital, featuring all the school's young musicians, is set for 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 22, at the Old Baptist Foundation Recital Hall. Admission is free.
The SIUC School of Music helps sponsor the Suzuki program.
