Workshop looks for ways to encourage responsible fatherhood
The Illinois Council on Responsible Fatherhood along with Southern Illinois University Carbondale will hold a free, public forum from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Dunn-Richmond Center, 150 E. Pleasant Hill Road in Carbondale.
Organizers hope to learn about challenges that make it hard for fathers to become involved in their children's lives. They want ideas for programs that would help fathers. They also will talk about ways to bring about changes in laws affecting fathers and their children.
