Intramural-Recreational Sports hosting conference
CARBONDALE, Ill. - - The Southern Illinois University Carbondale Office of Intramural-Recreational Sports will host the 2004 Illinois Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (IIRSA) Conference on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 7-8, at SIUC's Touch of Nature Environmental Center.
About 80 recreation professionals from throughout the state will attend the annual state conference. Discussion topics will include fundraising, fitness, intramural sports, facility risk management and corporate sponsorship.
Social activities will include a golf outing, Buffalo Tro dinner and a visit to Owl Creek Winery.
The state conference is preliminary to the national conference that will be held next April in Orlando, Fla.
