Talk explores 'Legal and Moral Rights of Artists'
CARBONDALE, Ill. - - Creative artists are welcome to attend a free, upcoming presentation at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on some of the legal aspects of their profession.
Susan P. Liemer, an assistant professor in the SIUC law school, will discuss "Legal and Moral Rights of Artists" from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the University Museum, north wing of Faner Hall and behind Shryock Auditorium.
Liemer's research interests include art law and legal writing. Her recent publications include "Artists Moral Rights: A Primer," and "Understanding Your Copyrights."
Before attending law school, she studied comparative literature at Princeton University and worked as a writer in the worlds of advertising and marketing.
