Food service sanitation courses available
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Food service managers and personnel will get the chance to study food-borne illnesses and how to prevent their transmission in a course being offered by Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The Beginning Food Service Sanitation Course will prepare participants for the Food Service Sanitation Certificate examination, which will be given in class. The fee is $95 and includes all materials. The course will meet 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 16 and 23, in Pulliam Hall.
A refresher course for those already certified, Food Service Sanitation Refresher Course, will study food-borne illnesses and food safety-related issues. Fee is $40 and includes all materials. The course will meet 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in Pulliam Hall.
