New wall calendar features photos of real Salukis
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- For the first time, a wall calendar featuring real Salukis in locations throughout the Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus is available.
The SIUC Student Center will unveil the 16-month calendar (September 2004 - December 2005) at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, in the Student Center Wabash/Vermilion Room.
Michelle S. Rositch, a graphic designer for the Student Center, created the calendar.The calendars, priced at $15, feature 11 different Salukis and, after Wednesday's event, they will be available at the Student Center Information Station and online at http://www.siucstudentcenter.org.
The dogs' owners are Ellie Case of Decatur; Cynthia Hahn of Florissant, Mo.; Jay and Donna Kappmeier of Chesterfield, Mo.; Don and Karen Magee of Springfield; and Becky Sickbert of Lincoln.
Money from the calendars will be used to support Student Center programming and activities.
