Camps feature top swimming, diving coaches
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Here's a heads-up for young swimmers and divers: Summer camps at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will feature some of the nation's top coaches.
Organized by the Nike sporting goods company, this year's coaches include as Jeff Goelz, Chunhua "Joy" Zhao and Rick Walker.
There will be two separate sessions, one from June 13 to 17 and another from June 20 to 24. Camp fees are $445 for overnight campers and $345 for extended day campers. Group discounts are available.
During the day, campers will benefit from the most advanced coaching techniques including video analysis, individual stroke adjustment and activities in and out of the water. Evenings will be devoted to bonfire parties, horseback riding and miniature golfing.
