Auditions for summer plays set for April 24
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Actors can audition next weekend for a variety of roles in two original, full-length productions planned for the July Summer Playwrights' Workshop at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Auditions are set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24, in the Christian H. Moe Laboratory Theater in the SIUC Communications Building.
Students and members of the community are welcome to audition. There are several roles for men and women in their late 20s and up.
The new plays are the works of master's students in the SIUC theater department's playwriting program. Faculty members or graduate students in theater will direct the productions.
Performances are on July 16, 17, 23 and 24 in the laboratory theater.
