Friends of Morris Library plan annual dinner

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Friends of Morris Library Annual Dinner is set for Sunday, April 25, in the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Student Center's Old Main Restaurant.

The evening begins with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m. Cost is $25 per person.

The Friends of Morris Library is a group of individuals dedicated to assisting the library in acquiring significant materials, equipment and collections and in providing the quality services critical to a research community. The groups hosts a dinner each year to honor those who have donated to Morris Library within the last year as well as to celebrate the accomplishments of the Friends.

This year's featured speaker is Fred Huff, retired SIUC sports information director. A native and lifelong resident of Du Quoin, Huff retired in August 2001 after 35 years of service to the University.
