Social workers invited to half-day seminar

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Social workers are invited to attend an annual awards ceremony, luncheon and half-day seminar Monday, March 15, at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

The gathering of the area chapters of the National Association of Social Workers kicks off with an awards banquet at 11:30 a.m. that day in the Student Center ballrooms.

Immediately following, Wynne S. Korr, dean and professor of the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will talk about "Knowledge and Dilemmas of Evidence-Based Practice."

This workshop is geared to those in the fields of mental health and substance abuse.
