SIUC announces building hours for spring break

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Student Center, Morris Library and Student Recreation Center will operate on limited schedules during spring break, beginning Saturday, March 6.

Classes resume on Monday, March 15.

Here is the building schedule:

  • Student Center: Closed Saturday and Sunday, March 6-7; open 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, March 8-12; closed Saturday, March 13; open 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 14. (NOTE: Opening of the building on Tuesday, March 9, may be delayed due to a construction project.)

  • Morris Library: On Saturday, March 6, hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday, March 7. The hours for Monday, March 8, through Thursday, March 11, are 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m. for the first floor and 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. for the rest of the building. Hours on Friday, March 12, are 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. for the entire building. On Saturday, March 13, building hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Spring semester hours resume on Sunday, March 14.
  • Rec Center: General building hours on Saturday-Sunday, March 6-7 and March 13-14, are 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Weekday hours are 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m. The swimming pool is open daily 7:30-9:30 a.m., noon-2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. The Pulliam pool is closed during spring break, as is the Sports Medicine Office.
