Pedestrian overpass will close for repairs March 8
CARBONDALE, Ill. - One of two pedestrian overpasses connecting the east campus housing area to Southern Illinois University Carbondale's central campus will close for repairs beginning Monday, March 8.
Workers will replace the concrete walkway and Plexiglas panels on the north overpass that spans U.S. Highway 51. Pedestrians should use the south overpass, near the power plant, for the duration of the project.
Completion of the repairs is expected by late summer.
