Wrigley Field event set for Monday night, July 19

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Members of the Southern Illinois University Alumni Association may participate in a historic occasion during the 27th annual SIU Wrigley Field event on Monday, July 19. For the first time ever, the traditional program will take place on a weeknight.

SIU's Wrigley Field Event will feature the Cubs-Cardinals baseball game at 7:05 p.m. The game will be preceded by a social at the Cubby Bear Lounge, located across the street from Wrigley Field, two hours prior to the first pitch. Game tickets will go on sale March 22.

Due to the large number of season tickets already sold, the Chicago Cubs are not providing group ticket sales for most weekend games. Therefore, the Alumni Association is deviating from its traditional weekend date and hosting a Monday night affair.

Beginning March 22, alumni members may call the SIU Alumni Association at 618/453-2408 to place their orders.
