SIU Foundation earns Education Digital Marketing awards
The SIU Foundation received two awards in the 5th annual Education Digital Marketing competition in December for the “Forever SIU” campaign.
The campaign video earned a gold and the “Forever SIU” website received a silver in a competition. There were more than 1,000 entries from colleges, universities and secondary schools. Gold awards were granted to 147 institutions and 86 received silver awards.
Judges were from a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the Higher Education Marketing Report editorial board.
The foundation’s three-year, $75 million fundraising campaign “Forever SIU: The Campaign for Students” launched Jan. 1, 2017, and will end in December 2019, the year of the university’s 150th anniversary. The campaign has raised $51 million, or 68 percent of its goal in private funds.
