Shop SIU’s 2017 Holiday Craft Sale, Nov. 30-Dec. 2

CARBONDALE, Ill. – The 39th annual Holiday Craft Sale at Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Student Center is the place to go to find beautiful holiday décor and the perfect unique gifts for everyone on your shopping list as well as distinctive items you’ll want for yourself.

The sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2 in the Art Gallery and Renaissance Room, on the first floor of the building. More than 80 vendors will be featured.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome at the popular annual Student Center Craft Shop event.

Unique, hand-crafted gifts

The sale will feature a wide variety of items created by SIU students and community members. Visitors will find wreaths handmade with fresh greenery by SIU’s Horticultural Association as well as unique prints from the Graduate Association of Painters and Printmakers, items crafted by blacksmithing and metalsmithing students and even unusual intricate artistic paper sculptures.

Booths will also offer blown and fused glass, local honey, photographic prints, candles, regionally prepared food products, wood crafts, handmade pottery, ornaments and other holiday decorations, artwork, clothing and textiles, eclipse items, artwork and even hypo-allergenic dog beds.

Additional details

Visitors can pay and park in Lot 13, the pay station lot across from the Student Center. Visitors must have the appropriate SIU parking decals to park on lots 11 or 13A until 4 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 but can park free in those lots after 4 p.m. on those days or all day on Dec. 2.
