‘Op Art’ exhibition closing reception is Friday

“Try to See It My Way,” an exhibition of prints related to the Op Art movement is showing in the Surplus Gallery, 432 S. Washington, St., Carbondale. The exhibit is curated by Travis Janssen, assistant professor, School of Art and Design.

The exhibition includes works from University Museum’s collection, and the show investigates relationships between the historical movement of Op Art and contemporary artists working for more than 50 years in similar veins through print media. Participating artists are from the United States and abroad. 

A closing reception is from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29.
