Benefit choice open enrollment underway
The State Employees Group Insurance Program Benefit Choice open enrollment period begins today (May 1) and continues through May 31 for all eligible employees.
Human Resources will be hosting benefit choice information sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 2-3, in the Student Services Building, rooms 150, 160 and 170. Sessions will be at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. both days. These sessions will include an overview of the benefits offered, how and what changes/elections can be made, and highlight the FY2018 plan changes happening this year.
Plan provider representatives will be available both days from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer questions and provide plan information. Providers attending are Aetna, CVS/Caremark, Health Alliance, HealthLink and Minnesota Life.
Changes made during this period will become effective July 1, the start of the new fiscal year.
In September, the Department of Central Management Services launched a new online platform – MyBenefits Marketplace – where benefit changes and elections are made. You may also view your present benefit plan choices and costs, and access benefit plan information and decision-support tools.
If you have not registered and logged on to “MyBenefits Marketplace” and follow simple instructions.
Staff members from Human Resources will be available to assist employees with online account access and in processing benefit choice changes. Registration is required.
