Classroom equipment training is available

Faculty, staff and teaching assistants who will be teaching in the university’s open-access, technology-enhanced classrooms are encouraged to attend classroom equipment training over the next week.

The Center for Teaching Excellence is hosting training sessions beginning today, Thursday, Jan. 12 through Wednesday, Jan. 18, for three types of classrooms: auditoria, smart rooms, and learning technology classrooms. Those who attend will learn how to turn on and operate the instructional technology system, use the podium components, connect their laptops, troubleshoot common issues, and shut down the system.

Pre-registration is not required. Click here for the training schedule.

Auditorium and smart room podiums are locked, so instructors should check the training schedule to determine if their room requires a podium key.  Podium keys should be checked out in advance from the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), located in Morris Library, Room 180, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  CTE’s phone number is 453-2258.
