United Nations Day discussion is Tuesday
Shelly Pitterman, a regional representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, will present a lecture next week at the SIU School of Law.
Pitterman will present “One Humanity, Shared Responsibility,” at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the Hiram H. Lesar Building auditorium. Pitterman, who has more than 30 years experience in humanitarian UN refugee work, represents UNHCR in the United States and the Caribbean.

(UNA-USA), the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute, the SIU School of Law, and departments including geography and environmental resources, political science, the environmental resources and policy program, and two registered student organizations – the international law society and the united nations association, are event sponsors.
