SIU Assessment Conference proposals deadline extended

The deadline for proposals for the third annual SIU Assessment Conference is extended to Nov. 4.

With fall break last week, the hope is that extension will give faculty and staff additional time to share presentation ideas with the conference committees – the Campus-Wide Assessment Committee and the Co-Curricular Assessment Committee, in cooperation with the associate provost for academic programs and the office of assessment and program review.

This year’s theme is “Moving Beyond the ‘A’ Word to Student Learning and Engagement.” The conference is set from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Feb. 23, in Morris Library.  Review the proposal guidelines and submission requirements and submit your presentation ideas to share your expertise in assessment and student engagement strategies.

The conference will focus on student learning and engagement, diversity and inclusion, and the “how and why” of assessment.

The committee invites proposals for presentations, panel discussions, workshops, poster sessions, and multimedia displays on assessment that result in actionable data.
