Great Adventures Quarter Auction is Oct. 15
The Great Adventures Quarter Auction, an event to benefit SIU students who have been affected by breast cancer, will be Oct. 15 in the Student Center Ballrooms C and D.
The event is part of the university’s “Start Seeing Pink” campaign in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds go to the Saluki Strength Breast Cancer Scholarship Fund.
The second annual event features adventure-themed auction and raffle features a variety of items, including a kayak, hot air balloon ride, a 30-person guided Touch of Nature Environmental Center Canoe/Kayak Adventure, tickets to Holiday World, horseback riding, merchandise from local vendors, art and more.
Seating is limited and admission tickets are available at the Student Center’s Business Office windows, located on the second floor. Participants can bid with quarters or, for $25, buy an “all-in” paddle and have a chance to win each auction item.
