Wireless access service conversion recommended
The conversion from “SIU-indoor” to eduroam (education roaming) secure wireless access service continues, with “SIU-indoor” now a secondary option and not visible or accessible to new users.
“SIU-indoor” will be unavailable to current users as of Oct. 17. To avoid surprise or disruption, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) recommends faculty, staff and current students to change to eduroam now. Accessing the wireless service is simple – it is another Wi-Fi option on your device and requires minimal setup.
When eduroam is installed, users will have access to eduroam Wi-Fi at more than 18,000 member campuses across the United States and around the world using your SIU ID and password. Active eduroam locations are available here.
