Student Rec Center to hold Member Appreciation Week

The Student Recreation Center (SRC) will offer Member Appreciation Week, Monday-Friday, Aug. 1-5.  

On Monday, current SRC members (non-students) will be eligible to enter a drawing for a free annual membership. Registration for the drawing is at the facility’s north reception desk from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

At 6 a.m., noon, and 5 p.m., on Tuesday and Thursday, SRC members and SIU students will be able to enjoy free bottled water and healthy snacks, while supplies last. 

On Wednesday, SRC members, SIU students and their families can enjoy the Carbondale Super Splash Park from 5 to 7 p.m. for free. You must bring your SRC membership or valid student identification car. 

On Friday, Aug. 5, SRC members and SIU students can sponsor a guest all day for free during “Free Friend Friday.” Guests must bring a photo ID.
