Big weekend ahead for Saluki basketball
To avoid long lines on game day at SIU Arena, Saluki fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance to the three upcoming basketball games this weekend, including Saturday’s men’s game against Wichita State.
The women’s team hosts Bradley at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, in the “Black Out Cancer” game. The team will wear special Under Armour jerseys auctioned off to raise money for SIH Cancer Institute.
At 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, the men host Wichita State in a “Maroon Out” game, in which fans are encouraged to wear maroon. A limited supply of $10 general admission tickets is available for the end zone sections. Doors will open 30 minutes early, at 1:30 p.m., for members of the student Dawg Pound group.
The women play Loyola at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10. Youth team tickets are available for a special price of just $2.
Fans can purchase tickets online at SIUSalukis.com, by phone at 877-SALUKIS (725-8547), or in person at the Arena ticket office. The ticket office will stay open an extra hour until 6 p.m. each day this week.
