Show that you are ‘Saluki Strong’ on Fridays
Faculty and staff can paint the campus maroon and kick off an action-packed Saluki Sports Weekend by wearing Saluki apparel to campus on “Maroon Fridays” starting on Friday, Nov. 13, to show you are “Saluki Strong.”
Look for announcements in the near future on how your office, registered student organizations, and residence hall floors can compete for Saluki prizes.
With volleyball, men’s basketball, and the final home football game of the season, the weekend will be a busy one for the Salukis and their fans.
At 7 p.m., Friday, the volleyball team hosts Illinois State in Davies Gym. Also at 7 p.m., the men’s basketball team hosts Air Force in the regular season opener and part of the Missouri Valley Conference-Mountain West Conference Challenge.
On Saturday, Nov. 14, the football Salukis will play their final regular-season home game and honor its seniors when the Dawgs take on Illinois State at 2 p.m. in Saluki Stadium. Later, the volleyball team will honor its seniors when the Salukis face Indiana State at 7 p.m. in their final regular-season home match at Davies Gym.
The weekend concludes with a men’s basketball game against Florida A&M at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, in the SIU Arena.
