Deadline is Friday to sign up for spring break trip
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- It’s not too late for outdoor enthusiasts to sign up for a spring break trip to one of the country’s most beautiful regions as Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Touch of Nature Environmental Center has combined two adventure experiences into one and extended the registration deadline.
The co-ed “Adventure in Arches” guided desert experience to Arches National Park and the Moab, Utah, region will take place March 7-14. The “Best of the West” women’s only excursion has been combined with the “Adventures in Arches” trip. Everyone is welcome to participate in the outdoor adventure.
Participants will enjoy rock climbing, canyoneering, backpacking and rappelling off of the famous arches. The cost is $600 and includes travel, accommodations, food and equipment rental.
